Axle removal options

I need to pull the axles from a 2005 Ion 2 2.2L. On this car, do you guys like disconnecting the ball joint or the strut?

I disconnect the balljoint on my L. They use the same knuckle as an Ion.

Depends on your tool selection. Either way is easy.
