But I fail to understand how purchase and self install of gm parts sourced from gm directly releases them from all warranty responsibility.

Reduce the warranty? Okay.

If the tranny is under nhtsa recall, they must honor it. If it was only under extended coverage, then oh well.

they will not honor it because I am the second owner and I elected to put a new engine in it myself instead of them doing for 5 times cost I got a used engine for 600 and did it with my son in law
So any warranty they told me is voided sounds like a cop out but I said fine
So now I'm just going to find someone to help me get the new tranny and do it my self and be done

 

 

 

Welcome back, Lynn. Did you ever mention the word attorney with the fools at GM? They tried to screw me on a recall on defective fuel pumps on the pos Equinox I had several years ago. When I mentioned a friend of mine worked for a very well known law firm in Nashville and I would let them talk to Bill, they decided to fix the problem on their dime.

 

 

I cannot tell you how grateful I am for the help that you've given me during because of you I was able to go on and find the actual part that I needed and after doing hours of research I've located it along with part numbers from different companies Amazon eBay I'm a direct seller and the cheapest one I found is $25 so I will be ordering it and then putting it in and keeping you posted
