Ok I am new here, and I have worked on saturns here and there well here is my issue a friend of mine brought over a 2001 LS door 4 cylinder basic model.. The problem was a transmission fluid leak so I dug around and found it was leaking from the axle shaft on the passenger side where it goes into the trans. Here is my issue, I have everything apart and cannot get the shaft out of the trans. I have pulled, looked for a clip, even dug out most of the seal the shaft has play going in and out about a half inch or so. But it won't come out and I cannot see a clip.. So what is the trick?? It will not come out and I promised the car by tomorrow night, I have done other axle seals and there was always some sort of retaining clip.
