I had one in a 2002 Intrepid that I really liked, but I regularly changed (and checked) the oil and did other maintenance tasks. It was totaled when a guy hit my wife head on in an intersection.
We unfortunately have an 06 2.4
I'm sure you know the 05 and 06s had crank walk issues causing the front main to fail.
I have a feeling the block is warped though. I lost count of how many times ive put new seals on oil filters and changed the oil pan gasket for it to still leak.
I know the front main is shot, but unlike ecotecs its behind the timing chain and I'm just not doing that knowing it will only happen again.

And with me totaling it last year. Id find a parts car so I had all the wiring and what not there. Def needs a v6. The 2.4 is just miserably slow
