Not bad for 3 and 1/2 years under a tree covered in sap. I will post another picture after I wash it for real and put some wax on it.
No use leaving a running vehicle parked under a tree. Just sayin

I figured. My location wasnt ideal either. She hit a concrete slab that was once a driveway and the force pulled her off the dolly so that's where I left her.
oh well.
Still, cleans up nice for the age. Looking at a 97 sc2 myself right now. If I can find someone to drive it back for me or drive my car back. Seems like no one can drive a 5 speed these days

Pulled the cluster to replace the bulbs. I noticed some had stopped working.

Looking at the back of the cluster, the ones that stop working are nowhere to be found. The bad engine vibe in this vehicle apparently vibrated them loose and they fell out. Must be caught up in the firewall wiring somewhere. There is a bulb spot labeled cat overheat. What's the deal with that? I've never heard of that bulb. The bulb identification is printed on the flexible PCB.

And for the love of dashboards, you'd think after screwing it up 4 years ago on my 97, I would remember to get pc74s and not 74s which have no base . Nope . I wrote it up on a forum post and my post was wrong so I followed my own advice and effed it up again.

DD, do you have a source for interior door panels for a 95 SC2? My panels themselves are pretty much okay but the fabric has long since peeled, been reglued, repeeled, etc to the point that the surface of the door to which the fabric attaches is saturated with glue and stiff as a board.

I might be able to get away with one from down south in the heat as long as no one has tried to put the fabric back on .

Pls let me know.

I would gladly Drive the 97 home were I not 500 miles from the starting point.

I was thinking I could give lessons on how to drive stick as both a novelty and for-profit to the neighborhood kids. That way they can steal expensive powerful vehicles or older classics

95 is an iffy one. Most are 3rd gens I find. And panels aren't cheap to ship.
unless you're just wanting thr fabric with the backing. I'll look into it for you

Yes the fabric with the backing is the issue and yes most first gens have long since been crushed.

I know this piece was an insert on '97s but I was not aware of this is a replaceable section on a 95 door panel. I also have not looked up what other years would interchange based on interior fabric and door design though I would take 93 to 96 would be the starting range.

Thx

My last day at my my morning job is Friday.
I'll be back to full time part outs/repairs after that. I'll start looking and get pictures before I make any purchases for you
