Default Headlights not shutting off

I'm having an issue with my headlights. I'm not sure if it's in the switch or what is going on. As you know the lights never actually shut off the shut-off position is the automatic lights/day running lights. But they do not shut off even when the key is removed and the engine is shut off. I have even pulled the relay under the hood and they still remain on. Help!

What year is your L? Have you tried pulling up the parking brake? When did this problem begin?

Default Lights

'04 L300 #2 series Yes, I knew about Ebrake . This just started in last week. What dumbfounded me was that with no fuse\relay they were still on ?!?! Did discover that low beams are both out. ( So having switch on and flicked to dim they're off ) . Since lenses are older and cloudy never took lights off brights in probably 2 years . I think though that there is a short somewhere and it's arcing to something else. What other explanation can there be for DRL stay lit with no fuse??? Ugh

I would replace the multifunction switch. The flash to pass function may have failed and welded the contacts. The switch is pretty reasonably priced on Rock Auto or Amazon.

The low beams and the DRL are the same bulb.
Seems like a switch issue.
