Default Taillights and dash lights not turning on

hi, i have a 2005 saturn ion
basically the park fuse keeps blowing, i tried replacing it but the same thing happened. right now it’s fuse 15, i’m not sure if thats correct or not. I also recently put in a new radio so i’m not sure if that has anything to do it. i mentioned that because i was reading somewhere to find the answer and saw someone say to disconnect your radio or something im not sure.

Did you use a wiring harness adapter that matched on both ends? If no, where did you tap into to get a 12V input?

Sounds like you have a 12V wire on the vehicle side being shorted to ground on the radio wiring side.

Are there any other electrical changes made to the vehicle as part of the radio install?

This is funny because I let the magic smoke out of a fuel pump module this week. We had to tow a 2009 F-150 this week because the 20 amp fuel pump relay fuse blew during our ice storm. I replaced the 20 amp fuse after the truck got delivered to the shop and the truck started. I knew we needed to replace the pump assembly due to drawing too many amps. Being lazy and not wanting to push the truck all the way around the shop and onto the hoist I replaced the fuse with the first one I found and it was a 40 amp. Made it most of the way to the hoist bay before it quit running. I let the magic smoke out and the fuse did not blow. The stink rolled out from under the bed and we ended pushing the truck the rest of the way to the hoist. We were on our second week of storm and we were both exhausted after working 16 on and 8 off. This ice storm hit on Thursday night the 11th, we finally got released this Friday at 10PM. There is a wiring upgrade kit of melting the fuse panel on 2009-2014 F150 trucks and my brilliant boss tried to convince us the the fuse upgrade would solve the problem, WRONG. I did the upgrade, replaced the pump and replaced the melted fuel pump module mounted back by the spare tire.
Lesson learned the fuse melts at 20 amps, the module melts at 40 amps. Good to know.LOL
