Default Rear spring replacement on 07 Ion2

I am replacing the rear springs on my 07 Ion 2 and following a YouTube video it indicated that when I lower the rear axle after disconnecting the shocks and springs should come right out. Mine doesn't. There appears to be tension on the springs. Am I missing somet or doing something wrong?

Drop the rear beam on both sides. Use a prybar or something to pop the bottom out. Then wiggle it around. Its pretty easy

If you ever want to know how difficult or how much a PITA a particular portion of an automotive "operation" demonstrated in a YouTube video is, look very carefully at the tools present in the "before the step" shots, the tools present or in the background in the "after the step" shots, and the angle of the incoming sunlight (if applicable)
