P0700, p0794, p0496
My Saturn Ion is a 2006 2.2L and I can’t figure out what’s going on with it. I bought the car from a family member and it has always had the “coolant” light flashing. & For a while, p0496 has been on my dash. After putting gas in it doesn’t like to start. I have to try and couple times and rev it up, as well as it shuts off if I don’t do that before hand when putting gas in. Yesterday my engine temp gauge stopped working, I shut the car off and it worked again. It also jerked on my while I was on the highway the same time my temp gauge wasn’t working. Today it’s pulling codes P0700 & P0794 and Is shifting horribly. Anyone have any tips or advice on what to do first or if these codes are corresponding? The P0794 & P0496.

Billy do the ignition switches have problems on these cars? The 700 series and the 900 series codes are transmission codes. Do the BCMs have problems like the L series cars? Might just be the electric part of the ignition switch.
