Default Blew another motor :)

Good news! Blew another motor. Time to build this **** and do an ion the right way.

Plan is a 2.4 forged bottom end with a ported and polished l61 head.
Stage 1 cams
Lnf valve springs and valves
K04 turbo (maybe an hx35 if I stop being lazy and go get one)
Return style fuel system
Paired with my vue f23
Ill swap to the cobalt clutch master while I'm in there.
May pick up some coil overs too. Idk yet
Just using most of the crap I have laying around. Getting a set of Recaros while I'm at it.

How'd you implode your ride?
What was your ride?

Why not just save all that parts money and pick up a low mileage Sky?
Why the Saturn Pile o Parts?
-------
Just buy Bones' 04 IRL

He already has a fairly custom ZZP tune on it

Plus, it makes the supercharger whining sound --- enough to make the 87 year old grandma in the other lane next to you at the stoplight think she accidentally drove into the competition lanes at the NHRA Regionals

04 ion sedan.

Jumped time again. Tensioner gave out this time. Bent 12 valves. Kinda cool, actually.

Eh, the sky looks good but the lnf isn't that great. And id probably flip it 15 times up hill.

I have a habit of doing dumb **** with these little econo cars. So I normally save my goodies.

04 red line? To many differences between 04 and 05-07. Maybe if it was a couple hundred bucks. And yes, I know their worth.

Anyone use an inline electric water pump before?
Less rotating mass. Plus easy way to delete the balance shafts. Been doing some reading on this.

Probably would work fine but is it really needed on a street car? I could understand it if this was a race car and every fraction of a horsepower was needed for victory. I drive my car 60 miles every day and I am at 230,000 + miles on the factory chain.

Its going to be a street/track car. I do like the mechanical pump idea better, but I also like the idea of freeing up power and less strain on the motor.
