19bonestock88's 04 Redline BUILD:finishing somebody else's project...

I meant trim panels. And thought of one of you getting up to and staying at 50 mph w that tire shake freaks me out only slightly more than the the other of you two driving a redline on bald tires. No reputable tire place should have remounted that tire after 1/2 mi driving on the sidewalls. And those kinds of blowouts are the ones that send you in an uncontrollable direction without notice.
Please dudes, pursuing a dream loses all meaning if you're dead.
Yes, grandpa derf worries about you.

...and remount the ruined Continental? Not hardly... The shake at 50mph was something I noted after airing it back up after going flat. I backed down to 40 or so, and got home, and went to town to get my tires on the temporary spare... My tires are currently in acceptable condition, less the mismatching... I got some used Pirellis to last me through the week, or maybe two...
just lookin out for my friends.
If a redline is anywhere near as fun as driving the last Sky redline on my dealer's lot before they shut down on a 1.5 hour "go have fun come back whenever" drive was, (and that's only turbo'ed), I just don't want you guys getting hurt---plain n simple.
Wouldn't bring it up if I didn't care.

225/45
Tempted to do the 235/45, but I feel like that may be just a tad to big.
These seem a bit more affordable:

I can personally vouch that a 235/45 tire fits on the front of my Redline... It does kinda take away power though... Part of the reason I'm going back to a 215 tire, I think... Still not 100% sure...

Well, no. Still at stock height for now, but the tires do clear the struts and control arms/steering knuckles fine though... You may experience rubbing on hard bumps, as on redline wheels, they are awfully close to the fender edge... They are about .4 inch taller than a 225 tire, or .8 taller than the stock 215 tires...
Are you against buying tires online? I seen the NITTO nt-05 in a 235/45 for $140 shipped(DiscountTireDirect), and if you are spending that much, you might as well go ahead and get a Michelin Pilot Super Sport($151)... They are supposed to be better(haven't had either though), and have a higher tread wear rating, so should last longer...
On a related note, I looked at the Cooper Zeon RS3-S(not the higher tread RS3-A)in a 215/45, at 98.xx a tire, with a $40 instant savings(plus a MIR)... Good reviews, from drivers of similar cars(SRT4 and SVT Focus)... Would be a good, cheaper alternative to the NT-05 and should still hold fairly well...
