Anyway, I'm going to look into rebuilding my M62... Starting to think that was the reason I got a low price on the car... It was making 14.7psi(or so) last week before it started running like crap, now it's making 13.6 psi... Others with a 2.8 pulley seem to be in the 16-18 range, so I can guess something is up... Unless me actually installing my improvised hydro-shield caused enough of a restriction that it's not making as much boost...
I did. I cant get it running right for the life of me, and it was cheaper to get the 04 ion I just bought than swapping/rebuilding the motor.

Well, what size exhaust do you have? Or maybe you have a small boost leak somewhere. Could also be the hydroshield.
I'm picking up another m62 Tuesday to rebuild and paint so I can run a 2.6 and make the engine bay a bit nicer.

Going straight to a 2.6, eh? You'll need the trans mounts first, lol...

No. I really wanted the 2.6, but I was able to get a 2.7 for a lot cheaper. So I am going to sell my 2.9 and 2.8 and run the 2.7 for the summer. Then next "winter" if I can afford to get all the porting done I want, I will drop it to a 2.6.
But either way, I am going to need those trans mounts. lmao
