Default Lock Solinoid

Sort of a "dear diary" entry.
Yesterday, the driver's door lock solenoid ceased working. Still have power windows, one can lock and unlock all the other doors from the driver's panel. Just the driver's door lock is inactive. Does not respond to the lock button, or the fob.

Just another day in the life.....

Update on the lock solenoid; I had it replaced at my local service station. He found the solenoid was attached the door latch in an expensive (nearly $300) sub-assembly. I was about to embark on a couple long trips, so I had him do it. I guess the convenience of having everything working was worth it. The Aura performed flawlessly during the trip except the battery died on a near 100 degree day. AAA came out with a new battery. AAA guy said it was an OEM battery, so that made it 8+ years old.

The 07 ION we just got had original battery...I was surprised about it but, it was weak, so I replaced it.
