I have a 97 sc1 5sp with no options in it and after a minor fender bender bought a 98 sc1 for parts. the 98 sc1 happens to have everything but a sunroof and I was wondering if the cars come prewired like some i have seen and if so if i can just say swap the doors and add/plug the switches for power mirror/window/lock or if there is more to it. Same with cruise control and possibly A/C? Are these controlled through the ECM as well? Is it worth doing?

To install power windows/locks/mirror you''ll need to swap over the entire interior wiring harness and fuse box. I''d also remove the components from one car and install them onto the other rather than swapping doors frames.

For the cruise control, you''ll need to swap over the module and steering wheel mounted controls. The have the CC option turned on in the 1997''s PCM or pick up a 1997 SC1, SW1, or SL1 PCM with CC, the 1998 PCM will not work in your car.Edited by: Low Saturn
