Default thermostat replacement

got a new code today po128 ,looks like a thermostat replacement code .
so i go looking into the part .

autozone sells the whole housing with thermo installed in it .

is this the norm?

i watched richpin do a thermostat and he replaced just the stat itself .but autozone does not sell just the stat .

napa has just the stat ,17.50 . the cost of the whole assembley at autozone .but i trust the napa part willl be a better quality part and it comes with a new seal and the cardboard tube to install it .

Go with NAPA. I used to work for Autozone and don't buy anything there unless I can't find it somewhere else. There's a reason that their stuff is cheaper, it's because they use cheaper quality parts!
