I just bought a 1998 sc2 and it runs great and its pretty quick lol ... anyways thats besides the point. i live in panama city florida and the traffic is pretty bad cuz of spring break at the moment. my car is overheating when i am sitting in traffic but when i rev it up or start moving over around 35 the car cools off really quick. my thoughts is the the thermostat is bad... going to replace that tomorow. if it does not fix the problem anything else it could be?

Check your fan fuse and make sure it is good. Then start the car, and turn the A/C to max cooling and recirculate. The fan should come on. If it does not, either the fan itself, or the fan relay is defective ...
