Torque axis mount it is.
All aftermarket ones are ****.
If you can fit a number two pencil between the upper metal portion and the rubber below it, it is worn out. Very scientific. No I didn't come up with it.
Then again it may be better than a brand new aftermarket. All depends how much abuse it is taken, whether it's dry rotted, phase of moon etc.

I have no question what I'm answering so hopefully I questioned your answer

Some housings are not compatible with some thermostats. If it doesn't fit, it likely doesn't fit. I think the stants don't fit the factory housing. Some internet research should help

mine did fit but I had to compress the spring to install it just the way the old one came out. Just a pain in the butt.

How do I go about attaching a picture to my descriptions? Sorry I am a computer illiterate. I work on an iPad if that helps.

As far as I can tell working on an iPad doesn't help anyone.

In the myriad of icons above your place where you type text, second row third icon from the left is a picture of a picture. Click on that then navigate to wherever your picture is stored. People tell me it doesn't work with an iPad. Or maybe just an iPhone. In that case use the paper clip icon and attach it as an attachment and then we should be able to open it.

I'll keep your damn fingers out of your TAM. That's how people lose lives. Get a damn number 2 pencil and test it scientifically. A minimum of three measurements, preferably five, and average the results.
Yeah that thermostat thing that's why they give you the cardboard tube. Bitchy little item. Some people like to boil them in a saucepan of boiling water on the stove before they install them to make sure they are not defective. It should start to open at 185 and be open by 195 water boils at 212 so it better be open by then. If it doesn't open at all then it is either installed incorrectly or it is crap that needs to be returned.

Apologies for the run-on sentence but I really don't care right now

I will keep my damn finger out of that damn TAM. Hard to find a damn pencil in my damn garage. But on another note, I will put the thermostat in water and heat it to be sure before install. The 4 piece kit is scheduled to arrive soon so that sounds like fun. Thanks for all the help.

So why did Saturn put the one hole in the middle instead of the bottom of the tank?
