Weekend project

Back in place and only 1 extra screw. It's really small. There's a rattle in the back I believe to be a wiring support harness that is missing said screw so I get to pull it out of its nook all over again to take the back off. Always take that time to line up your guide pins when putting the stator back on. It really does work better that way.

Oh.........yay. This is what I have to look forward to doing with our washing machine :-(
We have a GE Hotpoint. Not even a year into it, we had uneven load problems and cycle draining issues. Shocks were replaced along with the supply lines (pics in my "Other Projects" thread) last year. The (sorta) fix was cutting the drain pipe extension down a bit closer to the floor. Whatever is used to pump out the waste water seems to not be up to snuff :-/

Have you checked the inline filter for a clog?
I believe it is between the drum and the drain pump. Usually accessible through the front (assuming this is a front loader). one of the telltale signs is that the machine starts to smell musty. It's not until you truly track it down with your nose that you find the smell is strong from that filter. Some people don't realize it even exists and therefore never empty it.
Or your drain pump may simply have bitten the dust.
