I have a 1999 SL2, manual tranny. When driving it the other day the service engine soon light came on. I took it to Advanced Auto to have them read the code, and they could not get it to register. I guess their tool would not connect with the car. Any ideas on how to retrieve the code?

Go to another parts house (O'Reilly's, AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc) and let them try

I did go to another store, and they could get the code. It seems my O2 sensor is bad.
