A good automotive style paint, like the factory coating, will withstand paint chemicals

Start with mineral spirits, then acetone (your nail polish remover) then lacquer thinner all available at Home Depot.
Junk yard here just marked up a part using a paint marker from an arts and crafts store...
hopefully your guy put your marks inside the trunk and not on the outside... he is a professional auto parts seller after all...
