Brake Lights Not Working

Iou please tell us what year car you are working on. There are minor wiring changes between the early and late cars. I have wiring diagrams for the 2000-2002 models. There will not be any inline fuses. I will get the books down and take a look.

Do you have power to both sides of the brake fuse in the underhood fuse box? The fuse is battery hot, which means it has power with or without the key. The fuse is in the same position in the fuse box with both engines.

The brake fuse is in the upper right quadrant next to the wiper relay


The wire runs directly to the brake light switch with no connectors in between.
