Hi, former member of saturnfans here. I hadnt been active on there for awhile, mostly because my last saturn blew upand i bought a honda accord. However it got wrecked and some time and another car later, i got a dodge dart GT. Recently, ive been seeing this saturn s series on sale on my work commute and am currently mulling over buying it.

But now with saturnfans not working, i decided to join here in case i need any help and eventually i plan to try lowering it somehow. Glad to have joined here. Thanks.

Likely best to love it from a distance.
Pound the truth out of the owner before signing anything.
Test drive should include trip to AutoZone or similar to read the pending codes that the owner is trying to hide from you.

 

Very true. I was slightly surprised to see that some parts have gotten harder to find.

Oh yeah ive had some crappy experiences with some of these cars so im going to give it a good lookover. Mainly worried about rust, but i will be bringing a code reader and seeing if i can slip it in and read some codes. This guy wanted $2500 for it last i checked, but theres no way im paying that, might offer him $1800-2000 tops if it isnt trashed, its been sitting there for months.

Mainly wanted it as a sporty 2nd car with an auto, my Dart is a 6 speed manual.
