Default Hi all

Hello everyone. Just joined up. I’m a retired 62 yo federal employee but have been working on vehicles since I am 18 years old. The reason I joined is because my son has an 03 saturn vue which had problems, he took it to a friend of his who was a mechanic and got ripped off. needless to say they’re not friends anymore and I’m trying to help him

Welcome to the forum. If your son got a Vue, he got screwed anyway. They're pieces of junk.

Well thank for that info. Unfortunately my son is having a negative cash flow issue and needs to stay away from payments for something new. We try to work with what we have

Not trying to be a downer, just being honest. The Vue with the 6 cylinder and auto trans was one of the worst vehicles they ever produced. LOTS of transmission problems with the automatics. I THINK that's after GM stuck their noses into the Saturn line because they saw how profitable it was as a stand alone venture.

Wasn't the V6 a Honda power plant transmission a Honda transmission? Rube, I think you are getting it confused with the 2.2 and CVT available in 2003 and 2004.

You're probably right, derf. With the dog having diabetes and the wife recovering from back surgery #12 right now, I've had my hands full and am sleep deprived. I can't even think of which combo to dislike! LOL

Send her my best. I hope they did not give her an injection of "you know what."

I'll convey your best, derf. And no, none of you know what. I made sure this doctor knew about that several times. I told him before, during and after each surgical procedure. I'm sure he thought I was being a pain in the ****, but I don't care what anyone thinks. I'm just protecting my wife from dying and him from a massive malpractice suit. If he wasn't smart enough to realize that, then that's on him.
