Hi,
The hand held thing on my key ring that auto opens the doors and trunk.
The open button fell out and is lost. So I use the key to open the door the alarm sounds and the car must be started to shut it off.
Any help please.

Using the fob enables the entry-detection of the keyless entry. use the key to lock or door buttons instead of the fob to keep it from honking at you when you use the key to open it again.

GM fobs can be found on eBay or Amazon for not a lot of money, and if you still have the internals of the fob, it's an easy matter of switching the guts to a new shell with working buttons.

 

GM fob empty CASES can be purchased too. Do NOT buy the GM ones at Autozone --they do not fit
