Will P235 / 65 17 winter tires be ok on my 06 Vue? The original tires are 235 / 60 17''s. Thanks

 

OK - Here are the figures:


Existing tire 235/60/17 - assembled diameter of tire 28.10 in; tire circumfrence is 88.28 in.


Winter tire P235/65/17 - assembled diameter of tire 29.02 in; tire circumfrence is 91.19 in.


This will result in an increase in speed of 3.2 percent from stock conditions. For example, at 100 kph shown on the speedometer, you will actually be travelling at 103.2 kph.


Will that additional inch cause a problem with body/wheelwell clearance? Probably not, but I would check out carefullywith hard right and left turns at slow speeds in a flat parking lot somewhere and listenfor sounds of rubbing/binding before I took it anywhere at normal speeds ...
