I have a 2004 Saturn Vue and this morning my horn started going off and there was a burning smell when I opened the hood. I tried turning off and on my alarm and that worked fine and I started it up and it started up fine as well. After about 5 min's the horn just stopped. Any ideas on what could cause this?

As I read your message, the horn was sounding, and the key fob would not turn the horn off. When you lifted the hood, you smelled something. Car started and ran OK even though the horn continued to sound. After a five minute period, the horn stopped.

Question -- does the horn work with the horn button on the steering wheel ?

Question -- was the horn blowing steadily, or on/off pattern ??
