Hi all,

Getting the following codes on my 2008 Vue with 240K miles. Don't want to sink a lot of cash into it as I'll probably upgrade two older cards to one newer one within a year. I can live with some reduced gas mileage but also don't want to take on damaging anything. We only drive this car 5K miles per year (two 1K chunks and then the rest is shorter trips). Don't really notice any issues. Might be a bit sluggish and gas mileage might be down a bit.

P0420 - Ho2S slow response lean to rich (sensor 2) Is this upstream or down?
P013B-00 - Catalyst system low efficiency.

First noticed the CEL on about 2 years ago. I'm in FL. When I would go to a cold climate on vacation, within a day or two, the CEL would come on with a code (sorry, don't recall what it was) that said something like "coolant temperature was lower than expected". I thought "OK. it's not running hot so who cares". A few days after I would get back home, the CEL would go off and the code would clear. It did this 2X per year for two years. After having no codes on for a year, the CEL recently came on with the codes noted.

If you think it's an O2 Sensor issue, I'll replace it to help get gas mileage up if nothing else. If it's the cat, I can't see dropping $1K+ into it. It's in good shape otherwise except for a wheel speed sensor issue that gives me the Christmas tree lights of ABS, track control, etc. Local shop said the sensor is bad...but....the lights will all go off for 30mins to a week, then back on, etc. Sounds more like a connection/harness issue to me but I digress.
