Maybe you can scrap the Vue out for her and make a little money. I have a Kia Forte and really like this car. 2.0 four banger with a 6 speed automatic.

My Aunt's mechanic is buying it off of her. He will probably replace or rebuild the engine and flip it. Other than a non-running engine; that Vue is in good shape. Either way, my Aunt did fairly well.

For the record, if it hasn't had the 35 r wave plate failure in the transmission, it will. Usually near 100,000. Ask me how I know. Ask me why GM offered extended service coverage up until 100,000 MI. Oh, and the brakes have an issue where they seemingly either apply themselves or in reality, there is something about the brake lines, the metal rusting from the inside out, and the rubber part that connects to the caliper collapsing upon attempted return of the fluid towards the master cylinder that makes the brakes stick on. Totally unclear when this starts mileage wise but is seen at higher miles.

I'm assuming it was the V6 3.6. that would have had the 6T70 transmission. That transmission and the 6T75 had the wave plate issue throughout gm' line. I can't remember what transmission the 4-cylinder version has. I'd look it up but neither of us care.

Sorry for your loss nonetheless. My wife really liked how that vehicle handled and with 240 horsepower, she could blow smaller sporty cars off the road when necessary.

Yah, she bought the Vue after the transmission had already been replaced. She just did the brakes a couple months ago. As far as operation goes; she only mentioned that the Vue ran better after the 2nd oil change; as I did regular oil changes; and a lot smoother when I changed out the coil and plugs. Can't say that I will miss the Vue as even the oil changes were quite the task. :-/
