Default need help with stupid alarms system

Hi all, I'm new here and need some help. I have 2007 AWD Vue. I put in a new battery this morning and now the alarm sounds when I open a door and the ignition is locked out. How to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Maybe the procedure is in the owners manual?

I thought I would post my solution to the problem described for anyone interested. after some experimentation, I disconnected the battery, opened the drivers door, inserted the key into the ignition and turn to the run position. Then I connected the battery and everything was fine. the alarm rest and life is good. But for some reason I could not post this solution as my user ID has been banned...forever. I had to create a new ID to sneak this update into the forum.

Did you figure that out on your own or was it actually in the owners manual or what?
