2006 Vue starts then cuts off
I'm the proud (and currently sad) owner of a 2006 Vue with roughly 250k miles. I let it sit for too long without unplugging my dash cam and BT FM transmitter and the battery died. After charging the battery, it turned on but after a second or two, the engine cut off abruptly and would just crank over without starting. If I let it sit, it'll start but just like before, it immediately cuts out.
I've checked all the under hood fuses even remotely connected to ignition or fuel and they're all fine. The Only clear issue is that the PCV hose was torn, severely dry rotted, and super oily. I bought a replacement off RockAuto.com but I'll be surprised if that's the only thing keeping it from starting.
Only other thing I can think of is the oil pressure light coming on around a hundred miles ago. I checked the oil level at the first opportunity and it was fine, maybe even a little high. My next oil change isn't due for another couple hundred miles.
There are no engine codes and no check engine light.
Any help would be appreciated.

Whenever The ECU loses power, such as a battery replacement or dead battery, you must perform a pass lock security system relearn.
This synchronizes the passlock sensor in the ignition with the body control module, which then enables the fuel injectors.
If you look at your dash, you should see a padlock that is solid as opposed to flashing when you are trying to crank the engine.
The engine starts because there is a tiny amount of fuel getting to the cylinders but once that runs out, the engine stalls. This behavior is by design.
Passlock security relearn procedure
Perform a procedure exactly as written.
No opening of doors, playing with the windows, headlights, etc.
This synchronizes the passlock sensor in the ignition with the body control module, which then enables the fuel injectors.

I’m having the same exact problem but the security light only comes on and blinks when I try starting the car. When I turn the key to the on position the security light doesn’t come on so I can’t try the procedure. Any advice?
