Default 2005 Vue 3.5L engine w/ aftermarket alternator

I have a 2005 Saturn Vue 3.5l motor with an after market alternator that is not charging.
Problem Solved!!!!!!!!!!!
There are 4 pins on the connector however there are only 2 wires that make the connection.
The wires are connected to the two pins that are opposite of the connector clamp that hold the connector to the alternator.
You must move the two wires to the pins closest to the connector clamp that holds the connector to the aftermarket alternator.
Problem Solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The alternator is now charging the battery as soon as the engine starts with 14.5 volts and the voltage does not vary.
I worked on this issue for three days and finally found out what the issue was through trial and error.
I ordered a new connector with four wires and only connected the pins closest to the connector clamp that holds the connector to the aftermarket alternotor.

Thank you for sharing. Which brand alternator is it that came with the wrong pins wired?

It was a Delco however it pertains to most aftermarket alternators.
The OEM alternator is a Denso 210-0546 which uses the two pins closest to the connector latch / clamp.
Most of the aftermarket alternators use the two pins farthest from the connector latch / clamp.
Hope this helps!
