Default 2005 Vue 3.5 loose pulley on the alternator

Engine started making grinding noises. Took the belt off and the alternator pulley is very sloppy. Is there a way to tighten it ? Without removing the alternator ?

Likely it's not the pulley itself but the bearing. You'll need to replace the alternator.

The pulley should spin smoothly and with no radial movement. There should be no noise or vibration when spinning the pulley.

Took the main motor mount bolt out. Jacked up the engine and the engine wouldn’t raise by itself. So I started to take the 2 top mount bolts out. Sheared one right off. Guess it’s going to the repair shop
