Default 07 Vue Gremlins

Hey all.

Looking for some opinions on a couple things.
Code P0455 - Evap system leak... Evap codes are a nightmare on a lot of other vehicles. Trying to find the problem is like whack a mole. Is there a directiuon that fairly common with these cars?

Next one od the locking system. It should unlock the doors when you put er back into park, but this one does not do that. You can hear it locking them when you slip into D, but there is no attempt to lock them in park. the switches on the doors work fine tho and everything locks and unlocks like normal.

Any thoughts or advise on where to start?

My Saturn will unlock the doors when I shift to park and shut the engine off, only when I remove the key will the doors unlock.

Interesting. I am going to have to play with mine a bit. But as far as I know. It does not unlock until I press the switch on the door.

Found this in the 2007 Vue owner's manual.
Apparently it is programmable behavior.

Who knew?

What problem are we working on?
EVAP leaks you need to charge the system with a few pounds and spray a with a mix of 1 part Simple Green and 10 parts water. You will see where the foam is.

Working on auto door unlocking. It appears that the auto door unlock behavior can be enabled and disabled.

This worked like a charm. It honestly never occured to me that it might be programmable. Thanks much!
