Just as a passerby who's been curious about doing this themselves, which video are you talking about?

 

The OP mentioned he had seen videos of people replacing the clutch by moving the transmission out of the way vs removing it. I was confirming that I had done it that way successfully.

On the manual trans the input shaft seal is part of the bearing assembly. I remember a while back I read about someone exploring taking it apart to access the seal but I don’t think there was an update on the project.
