Default Misfire / Burning Oil / Rough Acceleration

After scouring this forum for about an hour now, I've decided to join and ask for some help from the pros.

Codes being reported are as follows:
p0301
p0137

-Rough acceleration
-Burns oil if not driven daily, sometimes will smell very rich if it doesn't have a smoke screen behind me while driving.
-Very little power above 1800 RPM
-Exhaust has rusted apart from behind the catylitic converter

I have changed the following:
Spark plugs (twice)
Plug wires
Switched to synthetic oil (less of a rough idle)
Cleaned throttle body
New air filter

Pulled the plug on Cyl#1 today

First thing I'd do is remove the catalytic converter and see how it runs. However, it looks like you've got some broken rings with that much oil on the plug. How often do you change the plugs anyway? Maybe a can of engine flush and a switch over to 10W-40 weight motor oil would help some.

You mentioned in your thread that you have changed the plugs twice, yet the picture you show is from the newest plugs? YIPES !!

Please do a compression test on the engine, both a dry test, and a wet one. Post the numbers here in the thread .....

this is the 3rd plug from cyl#1 that i have had to replace since ive had the car, about 3 months ( 45 min drive twice a day, 5 days a week.) I'll have to pick me up a compression tester. Might have to tackle my first ring job this weekend.

I forgot to add:
I cleaned the throttle body before all the plugs, had about 1/8" of soot/crud on the inside.
