And by any engine, do you mean ANY engine? Not tryin' to sound cynical, just want to know because there's a couple types of engines i've been lookingto buy for a reasonable price,but have had no such luck.

i JUST got home today from changing my clutch on my 96 sl2. the preferred method is to support the engine, radiator and steering rack from above, remove the engine cradle and drop the gearbox out the bottom of the car.
once done, you'll prolly need an extra set of hands to line the gearbox up to get it back in, but it's not too bad. i actually set it on my chest, crawled under the car and pressed it up while the wifey helped line up the splines and press it in place...
