Hello folks


Non of the above works. Today I experienced something. I disconnected the speed sensor and it did it. The engineRPMchange to normal.BUT thespeedometer stop working and the ''''check enginesoon light'''' came on.


I think all sl series arethe same. The first day I got this car (new), it had this issue.


What do you guys think about it.

Maybe a bad speed sensor?

Well if it was a bad speedsensor, it would not work, wouldn''tit. I reconnected the wires and the speedometer started to read. At neutral ( car not moving), the engine rpm reads 725 bt if I let go the brakes in a slope, then the rpm start to go upto950 when hot.

i cleaned the crap outta the throttlebody on mine which is a dohc and it didnt help anything, it also high idles between gear changes, though im sure it shouldnt affect the clutch that much it is annoying and shouldnt be doing it.
