Just bought a 98 sl2. And the gauge lights cigarette lighter and radio don't work.

 

I recommend checking each fuse for power on both sides. Mini fuses can be checked with a quality test light without removal. There are two openings on the top side of the fuse so you can verify if the fuse is passing power to each circuit. The lighter on my car is battery hot. There are two power circuits to the radio, one for clock and station memory. And a switched circuit for power. The dash lights are controlled by the headlight switch and a dimmer circuit, they may be seperately fused.
