Default Engine swap for 2000 Saturn SL1

Hi guys. I am considering an engine swap for my 2000 SL1 Saturn from the factory SOHC to a DOHC. My question is, what's a good replacement engine? I want more power than an SL2 DOHC since that's only 124hp. I like the Honda K20 VTEC or a K24A2. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Mike.

dohc is only direct bolt in. Can be turboed at your expense. Lots of custom fab required.

ecotecs have been done.

Hell a RWD small block chevy has been done.

Personally I wouldn't spend the time or money on an engine swap for a 14 yr old car for which parts are scarce. Unless money is no object. Just my opinion.

I agree, just go out and buy a car that has more power. Be much cheaper.
