i have a 92 sl2 and i was wondering wut years of engines are interchangable. help please.

1991 and 1992. If you put a 1991 engine in, you'll need to install a 1992-1998 timing chain cover.

alright thanx. i think i will just keep an eye out for another 92 so i can just bolt it in. would it cost alot to rebuild a pretty warn out twin cam? and r parts easy to find?

If you have a 92 that was leftover stock from 91 you can swap directly. If you have a motor mount on the left side of your valve cover bolted to the top of the timing cover then you need to keep that timing cover AND valve cover to put them on a 91. if you DONT have that mount it will swap straight over.

is the timing chain cover and valve 1 thing or 2 seperate parts? i havent really looked close.
