Nope - those are the wires coming from your radio going directly to the speakers -- yel and brn for the left rear speaker, and lt blu and dk blu go to the right rear speaker. Since crimp-type inline splices are not part of OEM wiring, I can only assume from what I see that the rear speakers have been replaced at some time.

These wires have nothing to do with the wires I referred to in my previous thread note

Ahh...I see. Do you think I could try putting that yellow wire into the 10 pin connector, and see if it will work, or do you think that is a completely different thing?

Oh my GOSH! Whatever you do, DO NOT do that ... it would be a quick way to blow your radio out!!

This yellow wire has NOTHING to do with the wire missing from your plug

Alright....I just ordered the 6 disc CD changer from Ebay. I guess once I receive it we'll take it from there. Thanks for the great advice so far, it's been extremely helpful...especially
since I'm such a newbie to all this car tech stuff.

I finally received my 6 disc CD changer. I immediately hooked it up and....IT WORKED!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was as simple as plug-and-play. I now have 6 discs and the trunk + 1 in the front which will allow me to play about 119 songs in the highest available format. I am extremely happy, thanks for all the help/advice you gave me. Here are a couple more pictures of the 6 disc CD changer as promised:

Hey xfactor 97, does the changer play burned cd's, or does it only handle factory-recorded cd's like the OEM factory dash unit does?

And, how are you controlling the changer?

Yes, the 6 disc CD changer plays burned CD's (in fact I burned 2 more this morning). My OEM factory dash plays the burned CD's too, that was how I was playing them previously (I use Windows Media Player to burn all my CD's). I am controlling the 6 disc CD changer via my AX button on my OEM dash. I then use the PREV/NEXT buttons to switch tracks and the SEEK button to switch between CD's. Here is the picture:

Huh! I have the same unit in my dash, and it won't play a burned disk no matter what methid was used to burn it, just pops it back out with the "ERROR" message.....
