Default LW2(?) Ignition

Chris, i have a 2000 sw2 v6. My ignition stuck in off. I have key. I took it apart and it had mnetal chip in it. Put it back without the steering wheel lock. Before i complete this is there any complications i may encounter?

I regret to inform you that the s series cars only came with 4 cylinder engines. So you are either mistaken about the engine in your s car or are driving an L series with the V6

Probably an LW2 which would be a v6. The key sensor that is near the switch is the important part for security. The steering wheel lock is irrelevant to starting the car. I may remove the wheel lock in my car to allow flat towing with no key.
