Default 2000 LW2 engine sounds like a thrashing machine.

I bought this 2000 LW2 3.0 auto 6 mts ago put just 4K on it and the motor is scrap. As I am having trouble finding a 3.0 Sat. What other GM engines will work and how much trouble are they to install? Can I go to a 1.9 or 2.2 without too much adaptation or Roadkill rigging? I like this car and as it was a toad it only has 37K miles.

If your engine is not repairable the only bolt in is from a 3.0 Saturn. They used this engine in some Saab and Cadillac models but they are a little different. Anything else is a very involved swap, and if you have to ask don't try it.
