Default A/C issue

I have a 2002 L200. The A/C fan will not kick on until about 5 mins after start up. I can feel the A/C vents getting cold, but air does not blow out until about 5 minutes of driving. I have not check under the hood yet. Any ideas on what I should check first? Thanks

I would check the fan relay first then the connector on the fan itself.

Is it the manual control version, or the electronic version of the system? Electronic version has digital temp readout display
