Default 2000 Saturn LS2 Sedan Licence Plate Bulb

Im having dificulties removing the plug for the licence plate bulb. The owners manual states to "Pull the release tab and and bulb housing together"

I have made several attempts and no luck.

From the outside. The tab will be brittle, and most likely will break. I will take a picture later after it gets light.

Default License plate light

I removed the lens from the outside. It comes apart into two pieces, they snap back together. I then released the catch on the bulb socket and pulled it out inside the trunk. Easy to reassemble, install the lens assembly then instal the bulb socket
