Well, I need a new engine for my Ion because its knocking from lack oil. I'm still new to how to tell if engines are compatible for my car or not. I'm currently looking at an engine out of Cobalt that only has 128k (the Ion has 161k), but I'm not sure if it will swap. Any help???

 

Look at car-part.com and enter your car information. The web site will list available engines near you and also list what will fit.
The 2005 and 2008 are not interchangeable.
