All,
In the last year or so I have noticed my rear defrost is not working/or not working as well as it once did.

I am looking for the test procedures on a 2007 Saturn ION rear defrost.

The light powers on when pressed in the console area.

I am guessing the procedure is probably something like;
Check for voltage at the window plug and check continuity in difference areas of the window....but not 100% positive. I know there are repair kits out there....but not sure the whole procedure etc.

Anyone ever troubleshoot a rear defrost?

You probably need to take a close look at the contact tabs and make sure they haven't come unglued from the glass. I've seen that happen. If they're okay, you need to check each "wire" across the window for breaks or missing segments. I've seen repair kits for them if that happens, but I can't recall where at this point in time.
