Electric or mechanical will both require removing the factory sender and adding the necessary pipe fittings. You will need a nipple and a tee so you can add a second sender or tube to your gage. You need to continue to use the factory sender for the car to function properly. Oil pressure and fuel pump operation are monitored and controlled by the computer.
