2007 Vue 2.2L 4 speed automatic to 2003 2.2L?
Hello,
Is it possible to put a 4 speed automatic transmission from a 2007 Saturn Vue 2.2L into a 2003 Vue 2.2L with a VTi? Like many who owns(owned) this model Vue, my Vti went out. Let me know and thanks!

Maybe (not sarcastic).
Would THINK the tranny would bolt up.
What I don't know is what automatic they used in 2007.
The issue will probably come down to ECUs, BCMs, TCMs, communications, and wiring harnesses.
You'll need the 2007 ECU from the 2007 Auto VUE to send signals to the 2007 TCM, probably through the 2007 BCM. I'm going to make a wild guess that the TCM BCM, ECU changed (check part numbers)
Equally as significant, I believe the communications bus between the modules
changed from GM's implementation of basic OBDII compliant communication to CANbus, a different variant of OBDII that I THINK was required in 06 or 07. Point being I DO NOT BELIEVE any of the modules in your 2003 will communicate with each other, BCM, ECU, TCM, etc unless you swap the entire wiring harness from the 2007 to the 2003 -- making the 2003 think it's a 2007, basically, However, you may run into issues if the 2003 lacks outputs the 2007 ECU requires OR the 2007 harness does not have provisions to connect up all of the 2003's options.
The ECU and BCM would need to be flashed to match your vehicle's options. Taking the TCM from the 2007 would also be required. Some are inside the tranny.
