Default Need Clutch Line, 2004 Saturn Ion

My clutch line was seized into the slave cylinder and I bit through the plastic line trying to pull it out with vice grips. These lines are no longer available anywhere that I can find.
The original GM part number is: 12584427
but this was discontinued at some point and replaced by 12587539.
That part also replaced these other ones: 12578562 and 22634600 so they might work too.
It looks like any year line will work, does anyone have one laying around I could buy?
Any other clever solutions?
Thanks,
JB

PM user DropDead . Hw is/was an Ion guy and can likely source what you need.

I do in fact have one. It needs orings though. I converted to the cobalt style for this reason

You can also check here -- they have several options for sellers: Clutch hydraulic line

Yeah, I have been there and traced out the actual seller, called them, and they don't have them. It is some sort of front end for various dealers around the country and their data is old from what dealers I called told me.

I sent DropDead a PM and hopefully I can get a line from him. Worst case, maybe I can find some hydraulic hose and crimp it on the old connectors, but what a pain.

Thanks for the help.
JB

From the chart at the bottom of the page on that link, they sold about 100 of these last year (2020), and well over 200 in the last three years. Seems that would be enough for GM to have a batch of these made up for the needs of Saturn Ion owners. I bought two of these last year (after ordering the first one and being told they were on backorder, I found another one on eBay from another GM dealer), and still have one out in my garage -- without the orings or the hairpin clips. If DropDead doesn't/can't get you one, let me know.

OK, thanks. I only called 3 or 4 of the places as you have to go through menus, get put on hold, etc, but those didn't have stock. I would probably junk the car as opposed to spend $70 that is listed for a lot of the dealers. I was hoping to get 400K miles on it, at 340K now. It seems that my slave cylinder extended and would not retract which is what got me into this mess. I did check ebay and found nothing there. I do have my hairpin clips and o-rings so I should be set if I can get the line. I will let you know if I can't get one from DD.
Thank you,
JB

Don't reuse O rings. Buy some new ones. Just take the line or the old ones with you and make sure they fit correctly.

What material are they made from? It looks like the same color material that they use to make fuel injector seals
